The HWCC Evening League starts on the 3rd April and is based on a series of events over various distances held on Tuesday evenings; you can find the programme of events, a registration form and the rules and regulations here.
The League is open to all first claim members of the HWCC who have paid the annual subscription for the year. Second claim members and members of other clubs are very welcome to ride but aren’t eligible to participate in the league.
Registration for HWCC members is open until Friday 23rd March and payment for the entire season can now be made electronically on the website, the details are on the registration form.
There will be a Sign Up system to allow registered riders to choose their marshalling duties. We really need a volunteer to be responsible for the event management during the season. This will involve being at each event and managing the signing on process and dealing with any issues that arise on the evening. This would be ideally suited for a non-rider, but all volunteers are welcome.
All other non-riding volunteers are welcome and please me know if you have help out. The success of the Evening League relies upon volunteers and any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
We are going to have a number of different in season competitions to make the Evening League more interesting this year and level the playing field in terms of ability; I will tell you more about these once you have registered.
Road bike participants are again welcome and even if you just use the events as training rides you will benefit significantly.
The paperwork will also be sent out via email. Please let me know if you have any questions and good luck to those that enter!!!
