These sessions run during the winter months on Wednesday evening at West Wycombe village hall. Before Christmas they are run as intense sessions. They are intended to build your threshold tolerance for Hill climb events and Cyclocross racing. If you don’t intend to race, these sessions will still build your strength and pain threshold!

After Christmas these sessions comprise a 12 week structured programme, based on a gradual progressive overload principle and high intensity intervals. The aim is to complement other forms of on the bike training such as weekend endurance riding and on line programmes such as Zwift. The programme starts at a modest level of intensity that increases week by week at a rate that enables clear and targeted physiological adaptations to take place for all the participants. These sessions are taken by Level 4 Endurance Cycling Coach Dr Gordon Wright who has some 40 years of endurance coaching experience including taking riders to two Olympic Games and six World Championships, plus many podium places at National road championships.
